Open Source Engineer

Job Summary

Supporting the research compute ecosystem, the contract Open Source Engineer will manage on-prem Kubernetes clusters, serve as a Linux administrator, and enhance Python-based image ingestion pipelines while working remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain on-prem Kubernetes clusters, troubleshooting issues end-to-end
• Administer Linux systems, including patching and maintaining GPU nodes and compute clusters
• Enhance and maintain Python-based image ingestion pipelines, ensuring robust workflows with validation and error handling

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• Strong experience in on-prem Kubernetes administration and open-source tooling ecosystems
• Proficient in Linux administration and Python scripting
• Basic familiarity with R/RStudio and Jupyter Notebooks from a systems perspective
