OpenShift Engineer
Job Summary
To support a client in the Oil and Gas domain, the contract OpenShift Engineer will manage multiple OpenShift clusters, assist with application migrations, and provide automation and engineering support while working remotely from Dallas, TX.
Key responsibilities
- Administer and oversee the client's OpenShift clusters and related services
- Assist project teams with application migrations to the Platform-as-a-Service offerings
- Implement automation and provide thought leadership in OpenShift engineering practices
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related IT field
- 2-5 years of experience in OpenShift administration and cluster management
- Extensive knowledge of Linux Containers, Kubernetes, and containerized application deployment
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab
- Conceptual understanding of DevOps concepts and practices
