Operating Systems Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Operating System Specialist to support the USPS' Network and Compute Technology group.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day incident and deployment support for multiple server operating systems, including Unix, Linux, and Windows
• Manage incident response and perform technical leadership in a large, complex server and database environment
• Develop and implement procedures for proactive problem detection, disaster recovery, and project management

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 15+ years of relevant experience or equivalent experience
• Specialization in Unix/Linux server administration or Windows server administration
• Experience with middle tier technologies including web and application servers, containers, and cloud services
• Ability to obtain and maintain US Postal Service Public Trust clearance
• Prior experience with Oracle RDBMS products and services is preferred
