Operational Accounting Team Leader

Job Summary

Leading the operational accounting team, the full-time remote Operational Accounting Team Leader will ensure financial accuracy and compliance across the energy portfolio while mentoring team members and driving process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee accounting operations and manage general ledger activities to ensure financial integrity
• Enhance accounting processes and systems through evaluation and implementation of best practices
• Provide technical accounting expertise and support compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal controls

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5-7+ years of accounting experience, including 3 years in Big Four public accounting audit
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements
• Experience supporting SOX compliance and internal control environments
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and intermediate Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP
