Operational Law Subject Matter Expert

Job Summary

A company is looking for a part-time Operational Law Subject Matter Expert (Lawyer).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide advisory and instructional support on operations law, including rules of engagement and targeting
• Deliver rule of law training seminars and support on the application of LOAC and international humanitarian law
• Engage in pre-engagement, training seminars, and post-engagement support as needed

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor's degree from an accredited college/university
• Minimum 10 years of experience in operations law, military law, or international humanitarian/human rights law
• Recent international instructional experience within the last 2 years
• Prior service as a Judge Advocate Corps (JAG) military lawyer
• Active Department of Defense Secret security clearance required
