Job Summary
Owning the operational risk discipline within the enterprise risk program, the full-time Operational Risk Manager will design and implement a formal operational risk framework, manage the operational loss event database, and conduct scenario analysis, working remotely from Chicago, IL or New York, NY.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement a formal operational risk framework, including loss event categories and business line ownership model
- Build and manage the operational loss event database to capture and analyze material operational failures
- Run the RCSA process across all business lines, facilitating assessments and producing risk reporting outputs
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of operational risk management experience, with at least 2 years in a dedicated OpRisk role at a regulated financial services institution
- Hands-on experience building or running a RCSA process, including methodology design and assessment facilitation
- Experience with operational loss event management, including categorization and root cause analysis
- Familiarity with scenario analysis methodology and ability to produce quantified outputs for board-level reporting
- Experience working alongside Engineering or Technology teams in a risk capacity
