Operations & Maintenance Engineer
Job Summary
Providing operational support for the IRS Enterprise API Gateway production environment, the full-time Operations & Maintenance Engineer will ensure high availability and rapid incident response while managing ServiceNow incidents and supporting 24x7 operational activities in a hybrid work setting.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor production API Gateway environments and respond to incidents
- Support vulnerability remediation, security patch implementation, and disaster recovery testing
- Create operational dashboards, reports, and documentation while coordinating with cross-functional teams during incident resolution
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years supporting enterprise production systems
- Experience with ServiceNow and enterprise API Gateway environments
- Experience monitoring Linux or Windows server environments
- Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with incident management
