Operations Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Operations Manager to support a National Weather Service Agile development program.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead operational transition and sustainment efforts, including testing, training, help desk, and IT support
• Oversee the creation of knowledge management CDRLs and develop testing, training, transition, and O&M plans
• Manage Help Desk and IT teams during operations and maintenance phases post-development

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical major (Engineering or Atmospheric Science)
• At least 8 years of experience working directly with/for NOAA NWS
• Experience leading complex logistical projects and delivering training on meteorological software
• Experience transitioning operations from legacy to new software and coordinating across various NWS stakeholders
• Strong analytical skills and ability to assess operational user requests for enhanced capability
