Operations Technician

Job Summary

Working onsite in Charlotte, NC, the full-time Operations Technician II will monitor and maintain management networks, open trouble tickets, and drive equipment and facility repairs while collaborating with field operations and other work groups.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain excellent acknowledgment and response time to alarms and customer calls
• Analyze, diagnose, sectionalize, isolate, and resolve trouble situations while managing multiple trouble reports
• Provide direct support to technicians in restoration activities associated with alarm and/or outage conditions

Required qualifications

• Three or more years of related experience in telecom or network operations
• Experience with Cisco, Juniper, and Nokia platforms, including Layer 2 & 3 switch and router configuration
• Knowledge of Element Management Systems (EMS) and Operational Support Systems (OSS)
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to work in a high-pressure environment
• Effective oral and written communication skills
