Ophthalmology Advisor

Job Summary

Seeking experienced ophthalmologists, the remote Ophthalmology Advisor will provide clinical, operational, and strategic insights to enhance a digital health platform focused on vision care and chronic disease management.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical and strategic guidance on initiatives related to ophthalmology, teleophthalmology, and preventive vision care
• Advise on clinical workflows, physician adoption, and opportunities to improve virtual care delivery
• Support the evaluation of new products and digital tools relevant to ophthalmology and chronic disease management

Required qualifications

• MD or DO with experience practicing ophthalmology
• Board certification or board eligibility in ophthalmology preferred
• Experience in comprehensive ophthalmology, cataract surgery, or digital health preferred
• Strong understanding of ophthalmology workflows and healthcare technology
• Ability to commit approximately 2-4 hours per month to advisory activities
