Optical Cabling Architect

Job Summary

A company is looking for a DC Architect - Optical / Cabling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Convert high-level network concepts into scalable physical connectivity frameworks, including fiber and cabling infrastructure designs
• Design comprehensive fiber infrastructure plans, defining multi-fiber connector schemes and cabinet-level routing approaches
• Define optical transceiver strategies for 400G and 800G environments, ensuring infrastructure readiness for future speed migrations

Required Qualifications:

• Extensive experience developing network infrastructure frameworks for large, mission-critical facilities
• Deep expertise in structured cabling systems and strong command of MPO and MTP based architectures
• Strong understanding of IEEE 802.3 optical standards and modern transceiver technologies
• Hands-on knowledge of fiber testing methodologies including OTDR and insertion loss testing
• Experience coordinating physical infrastructure documentation within broader operational systems
