Optical Deployment Engineer

Job Summary

Supporting network capacity growth, the full-time Optical Deployment Engineer will coordinate cross-connect orders, investigate discrepancies from audits, and assist in space and power planning for optical infrastructure deployments while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and process cross-connect orders and validate installations against design specifications
• Investigate fallout tickets from Asgardian audits and perform root cause analysis on discrepancies
• Support space and power planning activities and track cabinet/rack space utilization for optical equipment

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Basic understanding of fiber optic infrastructure, including connectors and patch panels
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and ticketing systems
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
