Optical Design Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Design Engineer III - Optical.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform design planning, record creation, and order fulfillment of products with a focus on growth products
• Collaborate with Service Activation and Field Technicians to troubleshoot issues during pre-build and customer turn-up activities
• Review and verify technical correctness of orders and provide support to resolve complex circuit provisioning problems

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent education and experience
• Minimum of five years of telecommunications and/or data networking experience, with at least three years in design engineering provisioning
• Intermediate knowledge of data networking and telecommunications, including routing protocols and various products
• Experience with Microsoft Office and project management software
• Working knowledge of routers and data hardware
