Optical Network Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Optical Network Engineer to support the operation and development of advanced optical transport technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand transmission network needs and develop optical transport technologies
• Manage project timelines and resources for the installation and commissioning of optical equipment
• Provide technical support and mentoring to engineering teams and assist with troubleshooting optical-related issues

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physical Sciences, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with networking fundamentals and application implementation
• Experience with DWDM transmission systems and long-haul fiber facilities
• Knowledge of physical connectivity at all layers, including DC cabling and power distribution
