Optical Network Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Optical Network Engineer III.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform moves/adds/changes on the optical network, including hands-on configuration of Nokia PSS, CISCO NCS2015, and Ciena 6500 platforms
• Design, build, configure, and manage the installation and deployment of the optical network infrastructure
• Interpret complex work packages, execute tasks, and create detailed Method of Procedure (MOP) documents

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Optical Transport Deployment
• 3+ years of experience with operation, administration, and maintenance of optical transport networks
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Strong familiarity with OTN, SONET, and DWDM technologies
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
