Optical Network Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely, the contract Optical Network Engineer III will provision new optical network equipment for revenue-generating orders, manage tasks through the Jira system, and participate in a potential on-call rotation after the initial six months.

Key Responsibilities

• Provision new optical network equipment based on assigned revenue orders
• Manage tasks and products through the Jira system
• Participate in a potential on-call rotation every 4-5 months after the first six months

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of three years of professional experience in Optical Engineering
• Experience in the telecommunications industry
• Proficiency with Ciena 6500 series, Cisco (M6 & M15), and Nokia Optical Platform
• Familiarity with Jira, BMC Remedy, and Chalk
