Optics Application Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Application Engineer - Optics.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical pre-sales support and conduct customer meetings, product presentations, and software evaluations
• Collaborate with sales and business development teams to offer technical guidance and expertise on Ansys software and simulation consulting opportunities
• Lead consulting projects, running simulations for clients and suggesting design modifications based on findings

Required Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in Optical Engineering, Photonic Sciences, Optical Sciences, Applied Physics, or a similar discipline
• 3+ years of experience in an engineering software environment
• Demonstrated proficiency with Ansys optical simulation software (Lumerical, Zemax, Speos, or equivalent)
• Experience in an optical, photonic, or illumination design environment
• Knowledge of relevant Ansys software or other commercial CAE, CAD, EDA, PLM software packages
