Opto-Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Opto-Mechanical Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CAD design and drafting of small form-factor consumer electronic devices
• Conduct thermal analysis and tolerance analysis of assemblies
• Lead Mechanical Engineering activities within a cross-functional hardware team and coordinate prototyping efforts

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience
• Minimum of five years of experience in mechanical design for consumer electronics, optics, or mechatronics
• Demonstrated knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and 3D noncontact measurement methodologies
• Strong proficiency in statistical process control and high-volume manufacturing methods
• Experience with 3D design modeling and physical prototyping
