Oracle Database Administrator

Job Summary

Proficient in Oracle Database Administration, the full-time remote Database Administrator will manage database configurations, optimize performance, and automate tasks to support the company's applications.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Oracle database configurations, including installation, maintenance, and upgrades on cloud platforms
• Optimize database performance and troubleshoot issues while implementing recommendations for resolution
• Plan and execute regular database backups in accordance with disaster recovery plans and monitor production systems for security and performance

Required qualifications

• University degree in computing or Oracle certification preferred
• At least 4 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration
• Proficient in Bash and SQL, with experience in Unix/Linux database installations
• Knowledge of multi-tenant architecture, data encryption, and performance tuning
• Experience with cloud Database as a Service, particularly PostgreSQL or Kafka, is considered an asset
