Oracle Database Administrator

Job Summary

To ensure the integrity and optimal performance of mission-critical databases, the full-time Oracle Database Administrator will manage the administration, maintenance, performance, security, and availability of Oracle and SQL Server environments while working remotely within the U.S.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Oracle Database environments across development, test, and production systems
• Analyze and optimize SQL queries and database configurations to improve performance and capacity planning
• Develop and implement backup and recovery procedures to ensure business continuity and disaster recovery readiness

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field
• 8+ years of hands-on experience administering Oracle databases in enterprise environments
• Proficiency in Oracle RMAN, Data Guard, ASM, and database backup/recovery strategies
• Experience with database performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting
• Experience working with Linux/Unix operating systems and writing and editing shell scripts
