Oracle Database Administrator
Job Summary
To support database management efforts, the full-time Oracle Database Administrator will design, install, configure, and maintain Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases while optimizing performance and automating administrative tasks in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage database backup/recovery, configuration, and performance tuning for Oracle and SQL Server environments
- Optimize database access and resources, ensuring data integrity and availability across multiple services
- Lead technical projects and mentor junior team members while automating administrative tasks to enhance operational efficiency
Required qualifications
- BA/BS degree and 6-8 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Deep expertise in Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server database design, administration, and performance tuning
- Familiarity with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions for Oracle and SQL Server
- Experience with SQL Server 2016/2019/2022 installation, configuration, and administration
- Proficient in performance tuning, indexing, and troubleshooting database performance issues in both Oracle and SQL Server environments
