Oracle Database Administrator
Job Summary
To support a federal regulatory submission platform, the full-time Oracle Database Administrator will manage the design, security, backup, recovery, and performance of the Oracle database environment while collaborating with government data center and cloud engineering teams, all in a remote work setting.
Key responsibilities
- Administer and maintain the Oracle database environment, including user administration and monitoring backups and recoveries
- Conduct biannual performance tuning and evaluate custom application code for database performance impact
- Develop and execute database upgrade and migration plans, while supporting enhancements and maintaining documentation
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of database administration experience, including 5+ years with Oracle databases in a production environment
- Current database administrator certification, preferably Oracle Database certification
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Database 19c or later, including backup, recovery, and performance tuning
- Experience operating databases in a cloud or managed relational database service environment
