Oracle SQL/PLSQL Engineer

Job Summary

Supporting an industry leader in financial services, the long-term contract Oracle SQL/PLSQL Engineer will contribute to the code base, collaborate with multi-subject area team members, and enhance engineering practices in a remote role.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of software solutions that meet both functional and non-functional requirements
• Contribute to enhancing engineering practices in areas such as ATDD and CI/CD
• Engage in product quality efforts, including test case development, design and code reviews, and regression testing

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of experience with SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, performance tuning, ETL/batch processes, and CI/CD
• Expertise in writing Oracle SQL and PL/SQL code, performing data analysis, and designing data APIs
• Experience with acceptance test-driven development (ATDD) and writing automated tests for database code
• Knowledge of mid-tier technologies such as Java and messaging technologies
• Familiarity with Agile software delivery environments and CI/CD tools
