Oracle SQL/PLSQL Software Engineer

Job Summary

To support an industry leader in financial services, the Oracle SQL/PLSQL Software Engineer will engage in a long-term remote contract role focused on designing and implementing software solutions while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and enhancing engineering practices.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of software solutions that align with functional and non-functional requirements
• Contribute to improving engineering practices in areas such as ATDD and CI/CD
• Engage in product quality efforts, including test case development, design and code reviews, and regression testing

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of experience with SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, performance tuning, ETL/batch processing, and CI/CD
• Expertise in writing Oracle SQL and PL/SQL code, performing data analysis, and data modeling
• Experience with acceptance test-driven development (ATDD) and writing automated tests for database code
• Knowledge of mid-tier technologies like Java and messaging technologies
• Understanding of CI/CD processes and tools, with a passion for delivering high-quality software
