Job Summary

Providing pre-scheduled telephonic interpreting services, the remote Oregon Court-Certified Interpreter will deliver accurate communication between state government representatives and non-English speakers, ensuring compliance with legal standards and ethics.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate over-the-phone interpretation between English speakers and Limited English Proficient (LEP) individuals
• Ensure clarity and accuracy in communication, adhering to legal hearing procedures
• Manage conversation flow and interject for clarification as needed, maintaining professionalism throughout

Required qualifications

• Court-Certified in any U.S. state
• At least one year of experience in telephonic interpretation within a legal/courts setting
• Strong understanding of legal hearing procedures
• Full fluency in English and a native language
• High School Diploma or equivalent education
