Oregon Licensed Attorney III

Job Summary

Representing SAIF and its policyholders in hearings and claims-related proceedings, the full-time Oregon Licensed Attorney III will develop legal strategies, mediate claims, and provide legal advice while working in a hybrid environment based out of Salem or Portland, Oregon.

Key responsibilities

• Develop strategies to represent SAIF and its insureds at hearings and other claims-related proceedings
• Attend hearings, conduct trials, and take depositions of witnesses
• Provide legal advice to SAIF personnel and insureds regarding claims-related matters

Required qualifications

• Law degree with a license to practice law in Oregon or the ability to obtain it via reciprocity within 6 months of hire
• Experience handling complex medical and legal cases
• Expertise in Oregon workers' compensation laws and SAIF's policies and procedures
• Ability to mentor junior attorneys
• Strong background in litigation and trial experience
