Oregon Licensed Escheatment Accountant

Job Summary

Supporting critical accounting operations, the contract Escheatment Accountant will ensure compliance with unclaimed property regulations and maintain accurate financial records while working remotely from Oregon, Washington, Utah, or Idaho.

Key responsibilities

• Research and administer unclaimed property processes to ensure compliance with state regulations
• Analyze outstanding payments, reconcile discrepancies, and coordinate payment reissues and voids
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reports, and documentation for audits and regulatory reporting

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with at least two years of accounting or related financial operations experience
• Experience with accounting systems or ERP platforms, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications
• Strong analytical skills to process detailed financial information accurately
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for handling confidential information and collaborating across all levels
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial recordkeeping
