Job Summary

A company is looking for a Financial Advocate.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance eligibility and coverage, establishing co-pay and deductible amounts
• Provide cost estimates for Cancer Center procedures and obtain insurance preauthorization
• Assist patients in applying for financial assistance programs and track their financial services throughout treatment

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; two years of college or technical degree preferred
• Two years of experience in a hospital, clinic, or medical insurance billing office preferred
• Familiarity with Mosaiq, Hospital EMR, and Microsoft Office products preferred
• Ability to triage and prioritize workflow
• No specific licensure or certification required
