Oregon Licensed Infection Prevention Nurse

Job Summary

To support infection control initiatives, the full-time Oregon Licensed Infection Prevention Nurse will manage surveillance, prevention, and control of infections, develop policies and educational programs, and serve as a consultant across the organization in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Institute infection prevention measures to protect patients, caregivers, and visitors
• Assist in the collection, analysis, and presentation of infection-related data
• Educate staff and stakeholders on infection risks and prevention strategies

Required qualifications

• Current Oregon RN license
• Minimum of 5 years of recent hospital nursing experience
• Preferred Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Willingness to obtain Certified in Infection Control (CIC) certification
• Knowledge of infection prevention standards from APIC and Joint Commission
