Oregon Licensed Managed Care Coordinator

Job Summary

To support the Centralized Managed Care & Price Estimates department, the full-time Oregon Licensed Managed Care Coordinator will manage insurance verification, create patient price estimates, and ensure optimal financial services for patients by collaborating with various healthcare staff and insurance companies.

Key responsibilities

• Verify patient information and insurance coverage while documenting details in the Epic system
• Create patient liability estimates and contact patients to inform them of their financial obligations
• Provide guidance on managed care issues and support other staff with insurance verification workflows

Required qualifications

• One year of experience in a medical office setting in a managed care position or one and a half years in a high-volume public contact role with six months in a medical office
• Thorough knowledge of managed care policies, procedures, and authorization processes in Epic
• Experience with electronic scheduling and electronic medical record systems
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Access
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment
