Job Summary
Supporting the success of Black/African-American students, the full-time Oregon Licensed Mental Health Counselor will provide culturally responsive clinical services, outreach, and advocacy while working both onsite and remotely within the Counseling & Psychological Services team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual and relationship counseling tailored to the needs of Black/African-American students
- Conduct group counseling sessions and outreach programs focusing on the unique experiences of Black/African-American students
- Consult with campus staff and provide crisis intervention and support services during business hours
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Doctorate in Psychology from an accredited program
- Eligibility for licensure in Oregon within two years of employment
- Two years of experience providing mental health services to Black/African-American clients
- Knowledge of the mental health impacts of systemic racism and anti-Blackness
- Experience in delivering outreach programming focused on the holistic mental health needs of Black/African-American individuals
