Job Summary
Supporting the mental health and wellness of Black/African-American students, the full-time Oregon Licensed Mental Health Counselor will provide culturally responsive counseling, outreach, and advocacy services while working both onsite and remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual and relationship counseling tailored to the unique experiences of Black/African-American students
- Conduct outreach and training activities in collaboration with campus organizations focused on serving Black/African-American students
- Deliver crisis intervention and consultation services to the OSU community regarding the mental health needs of Black/African-American students
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited program
- Eligibility for licensure in Oregon within two years of employment
- Two years of experience providing mental health services to Black/African-American clients
- Knowledge of the mental health impacts of systemic racism and anti-Blackness
- Experience in providing outreach programming that addresses the holistic mental health needs of Black/African-American individuals
