Job Summary
To support the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery, the full-time Oregon Licensed PAS Resource Specialist will manage patient access, schedule clinical and surgical appointments, and ensure successful reimbursement for services while providing exceptional customer service both onsite and remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Manage scheduling and coordination of clinical and surgical appointments, ensuring all necessary authorizations are obtained
- Provide high-quality customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues effectively
- Train and support co-workers in PAS processes and software, maintaining a comprehensive understanding of PAS policies and procedures
Required qualifications
- One year of experience in a medical office setting with direct patient contact, or one and a half years in a high-volume public contact role plus six months in a medical office
- Thorough knowledge of PAS policies and procedures, with advanced user skills
- Experience in obtaining managed care authorizations
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in word processing and online scheduling
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
