Job Summary
Providing high-quality customer service, the full-time Oregon Licensed Patient Access Specialist will manage patient check-in and check-out processes, verify insurance information, and handle appointment scheduling both onsite and remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Greet patients, confirm appointments, and collect necessary payments and information
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers, managing a high volume of incoming calls and inquiries
- Document and triage patient requests, ensuring accurate communication with healthcare staff and timely follow-up
Required qualifications
- Six months of experience in a medical office setting with direct patient contact or one year in a high-volume public contact role
- Basic computer skills, including typing at 30-45 words per minute
- Successful completion of a formal OHSU Administrative Internship Program can substitute for one year of experience
