Oregon Licensed Payroll Manager

Job Summary

Leading day-to-day payroll operations for a large, complex, multi-state organization, the full-time Oregon Licensed Payroll Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership to payroll teams, ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing while collaborating with various departments and driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage payroll operations, including overseeing the preparation and distribution of employee payments and analyzing trends in payment reclamation
• Develop team members through performance feedback, coaching, and training while fostering a collaborative work environment
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, union contracts, and best practices by monitoring policies and representing payroll in cross-departmental projects

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Payroll, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• Minimum six (6) years of experience in payroll or a directly related field, or nine (9) years of experience in payroll without a degree
• At least three (3) years of experience in a leadership role
• One (1) year of experience managing operational or project budgets
• Experience with Oracle Fusion HCM Payroll is preferred
