Job Summary
To support pet families across Portland and surrounding areas, the part-time Oregon Licensed Pet Hospice Veterinarian will provide in-home hospice and euthanasia services, focusing on compassionate care without the constraints of non-compete contracts.
Key responsibilities
- Provide in-home hospice and euthanasia services to pet families
- Manage a self-scheduled workload while maintaining weekend availability
- Communicate professionally with team members and pet owners, ensuring dignity and respect in all interactions
Required qualifications
- DVM/VMD/BVMS degree from an accredited veterinary school
- Valid driver's license and ability to work independently in a mobile environment
- Willingness to lift up to 45 lbs unassisted
- Experience in handling sensitive conversations regarding end-of-life care
- Availability for weekend rotations as part of the schedule
