Oregon Licensed Prior Authorization Pharmacist

Job Summary

To support medication utilization management, the remote Oregon Licensed Prior Authorization Pharmacist will review prior authorization requests, collaborate with healthcare providers, and contribute to continuous quality improvement processes in a part-time capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Review prior authorization requests to ensure compliance with Preferred Drug List criteria and clinical guidelines
• Support peer-to-peer discussions with medical providers regarding prior authorization reviews
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify trends and improve operational efficiency within the pharmacy department

Required qualifications

• PharmD or B.S. in Pharmacy
• Registered Pharmacist with unrestricted state licensure
• Four years of experience in clinical pharmacy
• Experience in managed care and/or prior authorization is preferred
• Strong analytical and research skills applicable in practical settings
