Job Summary
A company is looking for an RN Clinical Document Integrity Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
- Improve the quality and completeness of clinical documentation for accurate reimbursement
- Educate patient care team members on clinical documentation standards and methodologies
- Review clinical documentation for accuracy and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure proper coding and DRG assignment
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
- Accredited School of Nursing and ability to pass a clinical competency exam
- Doctor of Medicine or Bachelor of Science in Nursing; Master of Science in Nursing preferred
- Minimum of 3 years recent acute care or Clinical Documentation experience in a hospital setting
- Registered Nurse in state of practice or Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist
- Experience with clinical documentation software preferred
