Oregon Licensed Software Quality Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance software quality documentation in a highly regulated engineering environment, the contract Software Quality Engineer 3 (NQA-1) will evaluate processes for compliance with NQA-1 standards, develop and maintain quality procedures, and collaborate with cross-functional teams, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate existing software quality processes and documentation for compliance with NQA-1 standards
• Develop, update, and maintain software plans, procedures, and related documentation to support regulatory compliance
• Write, review, and test quality procedures to ensure accuracy and alignment with established quality requirements

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline preferred; equivalent experience may be considered
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with nuclear quality assurance programs
• Hands-on experience writing and testing procedures for ASME NQA-1 quality standards
• Experience creating documentation in accordance with ASME NQA-1 and applicable U.S. nuclear regulatory guidance
• Strong technical writing skills with the ability to produce clear and compliant documentation
