Oregon Licensed Staff Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Counsel to manage moderately complex civil litigation matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently manage all phases of litigation involving claims of moderate to heavy value
• Support Senior Trial Counsel and Senior Litigation Counsel in case handling through trial
• Develop and implement advanced legal strategies for discovery, investigation, and trial preparation

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) or LLB degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the bar in Oregon and in good standing; additional admission to Washington State is beneficial
• Minimum of 5 years of successful trial attorney experience, preferably within insurance law
• Proven experience managing moderately complex litigation with favorable outcomes
• General knowledge of insurance law and related litigation
