Organ Placement Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Organ Placement Specialist responsible for coordinating organ transplantation processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Screen organ offers against transplant center criteria and respond to incoming organ offers
• Conduct wellness checks with wait-listed transplant patients and triage patient calls to appropriate parties
• Facilitate communication between transplant centers, OPOs, and medical staff regarding organ offers and patient information

Required Qualifications and Education

• High School Diploma or G.E.D
• 3 years of medical background or training (e.g., EMT, LPN, RN)
• 2+ years in the field of organ donation preferred
• CTP, CCTC, and/or CPTC certifications preferred
• Completion of coursework related to Human Anatomy and Physiology preferred
