Job Summary

To support revenue cycle operations, the temporary remote Orthopedic Coder will accurately assign ICD-10 and CPT codes, resolve coding-related issues, and ensure compliance with pro-fee billing practices.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately assign and sequence ICD-10 and CPT codes along with applicable modifiers
• Monitor regulatory and payer changes affecting diagnostic and procedure coding
• Research and resolve coding-related system edits, payer rejections, and insurance denials

Required qualifications

• Active coding credentials such as CPC, COC, or CCS-P
• 3+ years of experience in orthopedics physician coding
• Experience with charge entry and coding-related denial resolution
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, PCS, CPT, HCPCS, modifiers, and E/M guidelines
• Ability to work independently in a remote, metric-driven environment
