Orthopedic Scheduling Specialist

Job Summary

To support a busy orthopedic practice, the full-time remote Orthopedic Scheduling Specialist will manage patient scheduling, coordinate appointments, and provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced virtual call center environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients by scheduling, canceling appointments, and referring them to the appropriate staff
• Maintain and update physician schedules, ensuring accurate appointment bookings and patient information
• Document patient accounts and administrative activities while adhering to HIPAA guidelines

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous medical clerical experience
• Understanding of medical terminology
• Experience with Navinet, ECW, and EPIC
• One year of experience in insurance authorizations is desirable
