Orthopedic Surgeon Advisor

Job Summary

Seeking experienced orthopedic surgeons, the part-time Orthopedic Surgeon Advisor will provide clinical, surgical, operational, and strategic insights to evaluate and support healthcare startups within a remote advisory role, focusing on improving musculoskeletal care and innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical and strategic guidance on healthcare startups related to orthopedics and musculoskeletal care
• Support evaluation of healthcare startups, assessing business models, clinical relevance, and scalability
• Advise portfolio companies on orthopedic workflows, patient care pathways, and commercialization strategies

Required qualifications

• MD or DO with experience in orthopedic surgery
• Board certification or board eligibility in orthopedic surgery preferred
• Experience in musculoskeletal care, surgical innovation, and healthcare technology preferred
• Strong understanding of orthopedic workflows and real-world barriers to healthcare technology adoption
• Ability to commit approximately 2-4 hours per month to advisory activities
