Orthopedic Surgery Medical Director

Job Summary

A company is looking for a UM Medical Director specializing in Orthopedic Spine, Neurosurgery, or Spine Surgery, to work remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct coverage reviews and render coverage determinations for musculoskeletal and surgical services
• Document clinical review findings and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
• Coordinate with clinical staff and engage with providers for accurate benefit determinations

Required Qualifications:

• Current, active, and unrestricted medical license
• Current Board Certification in Orthopedic Surgery or Neurosurgery
• 5+ years of clinical experience post-residency in Orthopedic Surgery or Neurosurgery
• Sound understanding of Evidence Based Medicine (EBM)
• Proficient with MS Office applications
