OSP Designer

Job Summary

A company is looking for an OSP Designer to develop engineering designs and manage fiber optic projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering standards and develop designs using CAD software
• Perform route analysis and maintain records of fiber splicing and topography
• Determine project scope, budget, and schedules while communicating status to management

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent; AutoCAD drafting/CATV design courses preferred
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in designing and constructing Outside Plant Copper and Fiber Optic Cable
• Strong background in fiber plant support services and knowledge of the permitting process
• Understanding of broadband communication theories, including fiber optics and Metro Ethernet networks
• Industry-related experience preferred
