OSP Engineer

Job Summary

To support a growing engineering team, the contract OSP Engineer will perform detailed outside plant facility engineering tasks, including designing and planning for copper and fiber cable systems, while working remotely in the PST time zone.

Key responsibilities:

• Estimate, analyze, design, and track budgets for outside plant facilities, including copper and fiber cables
• Prepare engineering plans, drawings, and reports, while conducting periodic job inspections for quality control
• Collaborate with multiple groups on network element designs and ensure compliance with industry standards

Required qualifications:

• Expert knowledge of COE/OSP principles and engineering work order procedures
• Experience managing other OSP Engineers and reviewing their projects
• Ability to identify and relocate existing voice/data plant and utilities on site plans
• Familiarity with the National Electric Safety Code (NESC) for engineering requirements
• Proficient in using PC applications, including Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe Pro PDF Editor
