OSP Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely while supporting the PST time zone, the contract OSP Engineer will perform detailed outside plant facility engineering tasks, including estimating, designing, and planning for copper and fiber cables, while also preparing engineering plans and conducting job inspections.

Key responsibilities

• Estimate, analyze, and design outside plant facilities, including budget tracking against actual costs
• Prepare and interpret engineering plans, drawings, and reports, ensuring compliance with OSP design standards
• Conduct periodic job inspections and quality control, while collecting field data and organizing permit packages

Required qualifications

• Experience with duct leasing and CAD/Design
• Ability to identify existing voice/data plant locations and obtain right of ways and easements
• Expert knowledge of COE/OSP principles and work order procedures
• Familiarity with the National Electric Safety Code (NESC) for engineering requirements
• Possession of personal tools such as a measuring wheel, height stock, and laptop
