OSP Engineer

Job Summary

To support hourly engineering work for MDU properties, the contract OSP Engineer will design and review outside plant fiber solutions, ensuring effective routing from existing networks to multi-building developments while working remotely in the EST/CST time zone.

Key responsibilities

• Design feeder fiber routes to serve MDU developments from existing network facilities
• Create and review aerial and underground OSP designs, ensuring completeness for permitting and construction
• Coordinate with project management, permitting, CAD, construction, and field teams to support design revisions and documentation

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of OSP fiber design experience
• Experience with feeder fiber engineering and MDU or multi-building property designs
• Knowledge of aerial and underground construction practices
• Ability to review and approve CAD-based OSP design packages
• Experience with route mapping, splice planning, and permit support
