Job Summary
Seeking a full-time OSP Project Engineer, this role involves planning and preparing construction drawings for overhead and underground links while ensuring cost-effective routing and compliance with project requirements in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepares detailed construction and installation drawings, reviewing OSP construction prints and CAD drawings for alignment with project requirements
- Manages and tracks OSP work schedules, developing cost studies and performing estimates to report on project progress and budget forecasting
- Liaises with city officials for permitting processes and communicates with customers regarding land acquisitions for easements
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of technical experience in OSP Engineering, Construction, or Operations
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred
- Strong knowledge of OSHA rules, National Electric Safety Code (NESC) requirements, and telecommunications regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiar with CAD and GIS mapping systems
- Experience with Snowflake and SQL queries for data validation and comparison preferred
